Afzal Sajjad Zafir from Darbhanga city of Indian state Bihar is doing graduation in Accounting and Finance. He has obtained an online degree in Literary Criticism from Yale University. He also attended online classes of Brandon Sanderson. Azal had interest in poetry since his childhood, when his father used to teach him Persian. He taught him about great Persian poets like Rumi, Hafiz Shirazi, Jami and Bedal. He wrote his first poem at the age of nine years.

1. When did you start writing poetry? What was the source of your inspiration for that?

> I started writing poems when I was in class six. My father is a poet so obviously his writings inspired me to write poems.

For me, Poetry is way of expressing myself. Whenever I go through some ordinary or extraordinary experience, I try to express my feelings and these feelings are my poems which you read.

2. Day by day people's interest in poetry decreased. What is your opinion on that?

> The circle of people who have been interested in art and literature has always been few. Poetry is for those people who look beyond this life and strive for much more than struggle of living. It takes you to another dimension of life.

Decreasing number of readers should not be a problem for the poet. They should write because they want to. Never write because you want someone to read it.

3. What types of poems do you write ? And in which language ?

> I write poems about humanity, peace, war and struggle of living. Sometimes I write about mysticism and Sufism.

I mostly write in English and Urdu.

4. Do you ever want to publish your book of your poem?

> Yes, I do want to publish my book of poems.

5. According to you which one of your poem is most loveliest poem.

> For me my all poems are lovely and beautiful.
